SURVIVOR PHOTOGRAPHS
 SQUIRRELS

G'day folks,

Most people know that I love squirrels, but I'm not the only one.

Niki Colemont, lives in Belgium in a village called Diepenbeek, and was born in Rwanda in 1986, just a few years before the genocide started.

Currently, he takes photos of squirrels in creative and entertaining poses in his girlfriend’s grandmother’s garden. He started doing it in 2016 with no formal education and learned everything through trial and error. When he saw my first squirrel in her garden, he bought a squirrel feeder to get them on the same tree each day. He went to a local animal store and bought peeled walnuts to place in the feeder and waited for 2 months, then the magic happened: the first squirrel learned how to open the feeder and 5 days later, 2 new squirrels did the same thing.

On his 30th birthday, he bought a telephoto lens to use on his Nikon D5200 and a wildlife hide tent for observation.

Now, check out his work ...

Clancy's comment: So cute, eh? Brilliant photographs. Thanks, Niki. Love ya work.

I'm ...
