ABANDONED HOME RENOVATED
THEN STRUCK BY LIGHTNING
G'day folks,
Well, here is another abandoned property with a different story.
This 170-year-old historic house in Georgia was saved from demolition by
a couple who decided to renovate it and make it their dream home. Just
four months into renovations, it was struck by lightning and burned to
the ground. These photos show the house in its long-abandoned state,
during renovation, and after the devastating fire. The loss has been
insurmountable, and nothing of the house can be salvaged.
Clancy's comment: Having renovated many homes, including six of my own, I can imagine the anguish felt by the owners.
