CHILD PROTECTION
- Everyone's Business -

G'day guys,

You probably already know my attitude in regard to kids. It is simple: As adults, they are our responsibility - no matter where they live.

Today I feature something for free - a resource for everyone -a new resource published by 'Plan International' & 'Save the Children' on the right to be safe and protected, targeting children and young people in the age group 13-17 years - 'Together for protection': A young person's guide to keep self and others safe [ages 13-17]

Reading this book will help you protect yourself, your friends and your siblings from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence. The information and fun learning activities in the book will guide you to think more about what you can do to keep yourself and others safe.

Examples are based on the real life experiences of young people who have stood up to keep themselves and their friends safe. The booklet also includes links to further resources and reading on this issue, as well as a 'Word Bank' which offers short explanations of the main terms used.

This book can also be used by teachers, parents and other caregivers, organizations working to end violence against children and other adults who care about children.

Save the Children Fiji and Kids Link Fiji helped with the field testing of this publication.
