G'day folks,

Roman Robroek is what's called an Urban Photographer. Here, he has captured paintings and frescoes that he's found in a variety of abandoned places in Italy. 

Some of the paintings in these photos are described as frescoes. Fresco is a technique where freshly laid, or wet lime plaster, is painted. Water is used to ‘transport’ the dry-powder pigment to merge with the plaster, and while the plaster is setting it becomes an integral part of the wall. The result is stunning.

When looking at some of the paintings, you can see the high level of craftsmanship. They look amazing and very detailed, even in this state of decay of the building.Now, let's see what he has captured ...
